We listened, back in August of last year, as our Socialist president mocked the Republican party saying, with an undisguised sneer, “You remember our slogan during the campaign, ‘Yes, we can’? Their slogan is ‘No, we can't’, he said to laughter and applause from a Seattle Democratic fund raising crowd. “No, we can't. It's really inspiring”, said Obama.
All inquisitive, right minded or thoughtful people of this nation are by now acutely aware of the travesty of conduct manifested by this president and his band of incompetents. To relate all of the miserable failures of this administration would be boring and redundant.
A more accurate portrayal of the mood of the Republican party back then would have been, ‘no YOU can’t’, Mr. President; Or maybe, ‘no YOU won’t’; Or even, ‘yes YOU could have’. But the painful and absolutely humorless reality that this nation is facing, after enduring almost three years of your failed presidency is, ‘no YOU didn’t’, unless the message that you meant to convey (way back then when you were campaigning) was, ‘yes we can’ destroy this great nation.
In Seattle, you said that all Republicans have done is obstruct the agenda that you and your fellow Democrats are pushing in Washington. “No, on help for small businesses; no, on middle-class tax cuts; no, on clean-energy jobs; no, on making college more affordable; no on Wall Street reform”. You then added, “After 18 months, I have never been more confident that our nation is headed in the right direction. We are doing what is needed to move forward and we're doing what's necessary not just to rebuild the economy for the short term, we want to rebuild it for the long term, for our children, for our grandchildren.” And finally you said, “Basically, what this campaign is coming down to is that between now and November they're betting that you will all come down with a case of amnesia”.
Uh……. excuse me Mr. Obama, but it was YOU who seemed to have come down with a case of amnesia. First of all, you did not “inherit” economic problems, as you again implied, and have frequently suggested, unless you will admit that the problems that you “inherited” when you became president were the direct result of mistakes made by the Democrat dominated Congress that you yourself were a member of from 2007 until you took office in 2009, and the same Congress that you joined forces with for the first two long years of your presidency during which your collective actions produced the unthinkable economic and moral consequences that this country is now faced with, and the worst national economic circumstance since the Great Depression. Still, your rhetoric would suggest that you had missed, and continue to miss the point all together, ‘WE the people’, did not “come down with a case of amnesia”. Instead, we understood all too well what has been going on, and sent you a resounding message at the polls last November. However, in spite of that, you have continued since then to promote your failed notions of government, by attempting to circumvent the new 112th Congress which now includes a House of Representatives which seats a Republican majority, duly elected by the people of this nation.
What has been painfully obvious in 2011, is that you intend to impose taxation and regulation whenever and wherever that you can, and as a consequence, to impose exponential price increases and costs upon everyone, (the poor and rich alike), although you would like for the misinformed masses to believe that you are somehow, “sticking it to the rich folks” on behalf of the lower middle class, the poor, the illegal immigrants and the unemployed. We have already seen how this all plays out at the gas pumps, grocery stores and other retail outlets. Can you not see that your ill advised actions have only succeeded in increasing unemployment, home foreclosures, debt, deficits and racial tension in America.
For those who are listening to the liberals who are propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", I'd like to set the record straight!! The day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, was January 3, 2007, at the very start of the 110th Congress. The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. On that day the DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 the GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% and the unemployment rate was 4.6%. Also on that day, Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. You may thank these two gentlemen who, with Barack Obama's approval and endorsement have taken us from a near 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% unemployment to the current unprecedented crisis by dumping 5-6 trillion dollars of toxic loans on the economy from the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fiascoes!! During his two terms in office, President Bush repeatedly asked Congress (as many as 17 separate times) to end the Fannie & Freddie regulations because the were endangering the US economy. Barney called the President's view a “chicken little philosophy and he and the other Washington socialists blocked any such action.
Mr. Obama, the citizens of America don’t need to hear any more deceptive revision of the facts, or cleverly scripted distortions, and we don't need Big Brother to ‘help’ us succeed, we just need to be left alone. Stop conspiring to tax, bully and regulate us out of existence....or don't, and in one more year someone else will have a shot at cleaning up the unprecedented messes that YOU, not your predecessor have created for this nation.
